5 Journal prompts to enter the new year with clarity
Here's a thought: instead of looking forward to set your new year intentions, slow down & reflect on the year that's gone by. The past year can ground you with insight and illuminate your path ahead. Use these prompts to heighten your awareness of your 2022-2023 transition (example below):
1. What's the biggest marker of where you currently are in your path?
2. Looking back at the year that's gone by, what did it take for you to get here?
3. Where do you wish to be a year from now?
4. What will it take to get to where you want to go?
5. Identify your words for 2022 and 2023. (Write them somewhere obvious to keep going back to)
Here’s an example from my journal:
1. What's the biggest marker of where you currently are in your path?
I've taken the leap into purpose coaching & embodiment facilitation in support of people's freedom & fulfillment. I'm committed to being of service full-time.
2. Looking back at the year that's gone by, what did it take for you to get here?
It took guts to finally make the transition between industries and claim my purpose. 2022 was about working up the courage to take the leap off the cliff, to face my fears head on, and to TRUST that everything I need is in me.
3. Where do you wish to be a year from now?
I wish to expand my practice and maximize my impact by working with + supporting as many humans as possible on their personal freedom & purpose-driven journey.
4. What will it take to get to where you want to go?
My 2023 is all about taking consistent steps to climb up the mountain ahead, such as: replenishing my energy through my daily practice (showing up for myself is how I'm best able to support YOU), taking aligned actions to fan the flame of this work with intention and focus.
5. Identify your words for 2022 and 2023.
My 2022 words were: trust, expansion, and courage.
My 2023 words are: practice, growth, and devotion. Does that mean that I'm ditching my 2022 words? Absolutely not! They are a continuum… together, they shape the full story.
… What are your words for 2022 & 2023?
